So a little bit about me, I'm known for my eclectic style and wandering spirit (get it? Wander_ed). I’m a self proclaimed lover of light. And my passions include nature, photography, trying new things, meeting new people, coffee, singing in the car, and much to my family’s chagrin a LOVE of travel. Just kidding they love it too, unless there is hiking, which there usually is, and they swear they don’t love. But, I know for a fact after they get over those initial groans, they secretly do.
I also love music, art, anything that sparkles, and food. So basically I may be a raccoon. But one that loves photography.
Why Photography?
I fell in love with photography and the world as a child when my grandparents introduced me to National Geographic. It was love at first sight. The second they got one I would pore over it. The storytelling of the photos was always so striking and vivid that they allowed this small town kid in rural America to transport to places I’d never been, and meet people I’d never met, and and see cultures vastly different from my own. They invoked such a sense of curiosity and wonder that is still a major influence in my work today.
So as a photographer it is my intention to share that same gift with others, highlighting the beauty in themselves, the world, and in others. Shifting perspectives and helping people see how amazing the world around them really is.
